Due to budget constraints as well as physical space in our orchestra pit / availability of live musicians, we sometimes supplement our live orchestra with officially licensed backing tracks that can be run and controlled (tempo, VAMPS, etc.) on the fly. Our conductor typically is the one who runs this during tech week and shows.

In order to create the best sounding show possible for our audience members, we do not use monitor speakers in our orchestra pit. Instead, musicians are given in ear monitor mixes and are able to control their own mixes using tablet / phone apps.
